Cambridge Historic School Museum

The Cambridge Historic School Museum is a long-term effort by the Cambridge Foundation to preserve local heritage and maintain meaningful community spaces. Over the years, the Foundation has provided consistent annual support to the historic school building, typically contributing between $10,000 and $15,000 for maintenance and ongoing needs.

In more recent efforts, the Foundation made a significant investment of over $80,000 to install an elevator, ensuring that seniors and individuals with mobility challenges can access the upper floor. Additional improvements include exterior concrete work, which helped maintain the structure and improved accessibility to the building. The Foundation hopes to preserve the historic school not only as a museum and landmark, but as an accessible, active space that continues to serve the community.
