Cambridge Fire Station

The Cambridge Fire Station is a product of the Foundation’s commitment to ensuring essential public safety services kept pace with the community’s growth.

In the 1980’s, as the old fire station on North Street became outdated and no longer adequate for modern needs, the community recognized the necessity of a new facility. In response, the Cambridge Foundation partnered with local municipalities to help fund the construction of a new fire station, contributing approximately half of the overall building costs.

This collaborative effort ensured that firefighters had a properly equipped and centrally located facility to serve the area more effectively. The new fire station remains a key piece of local infrastructure, supporting emergency response and reinforcing the Foundation’s long-standing role in strengthening critical community services.
